first open house

I had my first BeautiControl Open House the other day. It gave me a good excuse to decorate for Christmas. This is the first year I have decorated in a long time. It's very hard as it was my mom's favorite time of year but I want to really try to enjoy it this year for the sake of my children. For those of you who couldn't make it I thought I would share a couple pictures from the Open House.

Your party looked really cute! Good decorations.

I pray you are able to enjoy the holiday and am so glad you were able to decorate. Your kids deserve that as do you. My father's fave holiday was Christmas and he died 2 weeks after, so for a long time Christmas was hard on me. I was a child when he died, so you can imagine not liking Christmas as a child was kind of odd.

Now I probaly over decorate and make a really big deal out of the holiday, in his honor. So my kids can feel the kind of love and do the kinds of things at Christmas that my Dad blessed me with. It feels good to give them that.

I hope you can do that for yourself and for your kids, and feel the happiness of the holiday your mom would have wanted you to feel.

Amy, I love your blog and your strength in God! I don't know how people live without Him. So sorry about your little angel, Olivia. I can't even imagine. But you seem so strong. Your 3 children are beautiful and must keep your life full.

When I started blogging, I often thought of how you told me of the letters your mother wrote you when she was ill. Since my mother was taken in a car accident, not sure if you remember that, when I was one, I knew how precious those letters must be to you. When I blog, I feel like I'm doing something for Charity, my daughter, as your mother did for you. Something that can be cherished forever.

Sorry to get all sappy on you. Just thought I would share. Hope all is well! :)
